Through my experience through life, I have always been connected to nature. However, my life patterns have presented that I tended to be unrooted, unstable, and not as grounded as I should be. I found out the patterns and struggles in my life were based with an unbalanced root chakra--overactive to be exact. This resulted in hoarding, overeating, clinging behavior, limitations, negative self-talk, low self-worth and always struggling with money or believing that I had the right to attain a job that supported me financially as well as fulfill me emotionally. These have all been coming forward for me to realize and I have been doing research and working on healing and balancing this chakra as well as all of the others.
Most root chakra problems start in childhood where the child did not feel stable or supported emotionally or physically. I do not have any memory of being an infant, but I heard that there was problems getting me to eat and bond with my mother. Through some healing work with a neo-shaman energy healer, I found out that I had emotional abandonment wounds from childhood that were causing blocks, but I still have limited memory of what exactly those were. Feeling abandoned as a child creates patterns of not feeling secure, stable, or worthy of abundance or love. Looking back, the 31 years of my life and patterns that came forward make more sense now. Working through my whole life plus generations of scarcity mindset that has been passed down to me is quite a job. It's nobody's fault, but actually being conscious of the effects on the root chakra is pretty new. My intention is to heal that for me so it goes no further and I can create a healthy, happy and well balanced life. This brand "Rooted in the Forest" was created to connect people to nature in various ways act as a space for nature lovers to share their knowledge and homemade goods. Just recently, I came to the realization that it was birthed as a way to balance my own root chakra and share the journey, tips and create goods that will assist in the healing process with others. Stay tuned for more posts, step by step activities, and meditative candles and other items in the shop. With gratitude, Katie
